You will work as our Senior Product Engineer in the business unit Global Body Control Systems on the design ofSCCM (Steering Column Control Module) and related components. This important role involves interfacing with mechanical engineering, software engineering, electrical engineering, suppliers, purchasing, manufacturing and test engineering.
Your Major Position Responsibilities:
Support all the phases of product development life cycle: design, development, sampling and validation testing;
Daily technical design and support of steering column control and related products/components;
Implementation of new technologies in serial production;
Customer and system requirements analysis;
Work with technical suppliers;
Involved in Design Failure Mode and Effect Analysis; root cause analysis; release of all technical documentation including drawings, Design Failure Mode Effects and Analysis (DFMEA) and Design Validation Plan and Reporting (DVP&R);
Insure a technical interface with customer;
Review and approve engineering changes orders.
Education Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering (mechanical or mechatronic) required.
Experience and Skill Requirements:
At least 10 years of engineering experience that may include interior automotive components, mechatronic system;
Expertise in steering column control module including: multi-function switches, steering angle sensors and clock springs;
Knowledge in HW & SW would be appreciable;
Good knowledge in automotive design rules and standards;
Good knowledge of German and English language in writing and speaking;
Strong communication and problem solving skills;
Design and technical aptitude;
Highly motivated and energetic.
